Fiesta Technical Specification
More power. More efficiency. More enjoyment
The revolutionary 1.0 litre 3-cylinder Ford EcoBoost petrol engine gives you all the power you’d expect from a conventional 1.6 engine, but achieves better fuel economy and CO2 emissions as low as 97g/km. Win, win. You can also choose a 1.1 litre TiVCT engine that gives you up to 85 PS to play with whilst keeping emissions down to just 82g/km.
Prefer diesel? Then go for the 1.5 litre TDCi engine that delivers a rewarding 85 PS and achieves a money-saving economy of 88.3 mpg (combined) with CO2 emissions of just 82 g/km for the 3-door and 3.3L/100km with CO2 emissions of just 84 g/km for the 5-door. If you want even more power plus efficiency, a 120 PS engine gives you 88.3 mpg (combined) and CO2 emissions of 89 g/km.
Use less fuel with Auto Start-Stop
When you stop at traffic lights or your Fiesta is idling in a queue, this technology can automatically switch off the engine while still supplying power to essentials like the headlights, air-conditioning and the Ford SYNC 3 system. When you're ready to move just depress the clutch, or press the accelerator on an automatic, and the system restarts. Auto Start-Stop is particularly effective in towns and cities, where it can cut fuel consumption by up to 10% (urban cycle).
Efficiency at the press of a button
An ingenious feature of the new Ford Fiesta is its Eco Button. Press to turn it on and a series of systems and settings adjust to help you save fuel. For example, the rate of acceleration can be reduced, the idle speed can be lowered and the fan speed of the climate control can be lowered. Combined, all these little things can make a big difference.
Fiesta Key Features
Seamless technology you can control with your voice
Ford SYNC 3 is a state-of-the-art system that enables you to stay connected and control your phone, music and navigation system with intuitive voice commands, or an 8" colour touchscreen. It connects to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto too, and with Applink, you can access some of your favourite smartphone apps, including Spotify. Live Traffic can also help you avoid the jams. And you can even call up a list of local restaurants just by saying "I’m hungry", or access the Michelin Guide to help you choose and book places to eat.
Your favourite music, as it’s meant to be heard
Whatever your taste in music, it deserves to sound as the artist intended. And that’s exactly what you can expect in your new Fiesta. Why? Because it’s available with B&O PLAY. This premium level 675-watt audio system delivers a rich, powerful sound via a 10-speaker, woofer and subwoofer inclusive set-up. And this advanced technology has been specifically designed, developed and fine-tuned for the Fiesta by B&O PLAY’s specialist acousticians. So turn it up and enjoy your favourite bands and songs in the concert hall that is your car’s cabin.
A large panoramic roof for a lighter, airier feel
Unlike most small cars its size, this Fiesta comes with the option of a luxurious two-part, glass panoramic roof. This either tilts open, or slides back over the rear roof section to create a light and airy interior. Whilst the roof allows natural light to flood in, solar reflective glass keeps you cool and protects you from UV rays. An electrically operated roof blind also enables you to cover or reveal the roof at the press of a button.
Key-free means hassle-free
Walk towards your car and the Ford KeyFree System senses the presence of your key fob, even if it’s in your pocket or bag. The doors unlock and when you take your seat there’s no need for an ignition key. Just depress the clutch, push the Ford Power starter button and the engine fires into life.
Room to stretch your legs
By clever use of space, Fiesta gives you more front and rear legroom than ever before. And because the rear seats have sculpted, slim backs, your passengers can sit further back.
Cruise control that can adapt automatically
With Adaptive Cruise Control technology, you choose the speed you want to drive at and the system will maintain it. If the built-in RADAR sensor detects a vehicle ahead, it will slow your vehicle to maintain a pre-set distance. Once the road in front is clear, the system will accelerate to your chosen speed.
Stress-free parking and pulling out
Parking can be a real hassle. But not in your new Fiesta. That’s because Active Park Assist uses a combination of different technologies to do more than steer you into parking spots. With Park Out Assist it helps you pull out of them, too. The Parallel and Perpendicular Parking system can sense if there’s space for your car to fit, then reverse you in. And Side Parking Aid also warns you if there are any lateral obstructions.
Sees the road signs you might miss
Whether the signs are at the side of the road or above it, permanent or temporary, Traffic Sign Recognition can identify them. An icon of that speed or a no-overtaking sign appears on the instrument cluster and changes every time you enter a new limit.
Helping you see, without dazzling others
A useful night-driving aid, Auto High Beam temporarily dips your headlights when it detects oncoming traffic or a vehicle ahead, stopping you dazzling other drivers. It then automatically reverts back to high beam, giving you maximum visibility.
