The flagship model of the SsangYong range, the All New Rexton Ultimate Plus is a very capable and luxurious vehicle. Designed to deliver more in every respect. More presence, more prestige, more strength, more style and more value. With full Nappa Leather, a touchscreen satellite navigation and infortainment centre, and a dynamic digital dashboard display, the Rexton Ultimate Plus has an amazing array of features. Driving aids include Blindspot Information System, 3D Surround Camera, and rear view camera, as well as lane collision warning and rear cross traffic warning. The centre display provides an aerial view of the vehicle and any obstacles in the immediate surroundings. The cabin is spacious and luxurious with plenty of shoulder and headroom. Legroom in the second row is especially generous and second-row seats may be double-folded to maximise the load space. In fact, the new Rexton’s size give one of the largest load spaces in its sector. It can easily accommodate rear-seat passengers and four golf bags in the boot. Part-time four-wheel drive allows you to choose when to activate the system, depending upon changing conditions on or off the road. There is the choice of high range 4x4 for slippery conditions or low range for when the going gets really tough. The new Rexton will make light work of hauling a large caravan, horsebox, boat or work trailer. It has a strong ladder chassis that provides a substantial towing platform and a mighty towing capability of 3.5 tonnes. The new 8-speed electronically controlled shift-by-wire automatic transmission delivers an efficient response, shifting between ratios smoothly and quietly, and features selectable drive modes (NORMAL / SPORT / WINTER) for safe driving and a customizable driving experience. Normal mode balances the need for economy and power. Sport delivers extra power and Winter starts the car in 2nd gear to prevent slippage when icy. The uprated 2.2 litre Euro 6 engine delivers maximum power of 202PS at 4000rpm and maximum torque of 441Nm at 1600-2600rpm and is designed to provide low-end torque for effortless cruising whatever the conditions, whatever the load.
